Side B: Bye Bye Johnny/Rip This Joint/Gimme Shelter/You Can't Always Get What You Wantīrown Sugar (the opening song for sure) and the medley Uptight-Satisfaction that also features Stevie Wonder (hence the cover artwork reference).Īmazingly enough many of the songs resurfaced many years later in stereo on the CD titled "Very Ancient, Thank You Kindly" with tracks as follows:īrown Sugar 3:17/Bitch 4:20/Rocks Off 3:46 (Audience 1972)/Gimme Shelter 4:45/Dead Flowers 3:51/Happy 2:47/Tumbling Dice 4:25/Love In Vain 5:41/Sweet Virginia 4:09/Ventilator Blues 3:21 (Audience, Vancouver, BC, June 3, 1972)/Torn & Frayed 5:11 (Audience, Vancouver, BC, June 3, 1972)/Loving Cup 4:29 (Audience, Vancouver, BC, June 3, 1972)/All Down The Line 3:55/Bye Bye Johnny 3:49/Rip This Joint 2:02/Jumpin' Jack Flash 3:22/Street Fighting Man 3:59/Uptight/Satisfaction 5:27/Don't Lie To Me 2:13/It's All Over Now 2:35 (Audience, Honolulu, HI, Janu2nd Show) Side A: All Down The Line/Bitch/Sweet Virginia/Tumbling Dice (This one sounds like it is from an acetate source crackly) Sound Quality: Excellent Mono Soundboard. The Spectrum, Philadelphia, PA, J1st & 2nd Show The Spectrum, Philadelphia, PA, July 20, 1972 Tarrant County Convention Center, Fort Worth, Texas, J1st & 2nd Show Unofficially I have 3 double CD sets from various Paris shows in 76' a 75' Toronto LP an El Mocambo 77' CD & seperate LP & a factory produced double DVD of Paris 76'.The box on the LP cover insert simply lists 3 source shows without tying them to specific tracks: I have the following original 2 LP 1977' vinyl copies of Love You Live: Here a bit pedestrian but it is the Stones so I like it yes I do. Interesting to learn here first that the groove, verve and attitude of the It's Only Rock 'n' Roll studio cut would very rarely ever work live (Maybe in part as a different rhythm section?) Worst moment is the side one medley which perhaps should be put up into a cloud. Some of the Stones metallic chordal attack is lost amidst the in vogue phaser pedals but hey it gives it that mid 70's flavour. Of the other sides I also love You Can't Always Get What You Want & You Got To Move especially.īrown Sugar has a cool archetypal Woody solo & Sympathy For The Devil is interesting with Ollie Brown's added percussion. The greatest performance here is certainly Crackin' Up.

(I had to visit the venue when in Toronto & checkout the upstairs stage and room they used though slightly odd not to see any photos or a plaque in place.) The El Mocambo side is the bomb here as the band return to a 63' size venue & get their legs stroked while playing.
